Practicing “Pengembar” of Sematian

As promised by Muhaimi, thus on Monday, February 8th, 2016, the children of Karang Baru backwoods gathered again at the pasirputih’s office to practice Sematian or Peresean. At that day, Muhaimi taught the marching of “pengembar” in Sematian. The marching is a dance rather than a real fight technique. Muhaimi prefer to teach the marching rather than the fighting to prevent the real violence in their Sematian which will be performed by children. Of course, for Muhaimi, Sematian must be socialized as a local heritage, but the aspect of its art, not the violence.
