On February 2nd, 2016, we held a public discussion at pasirputih, inviting a keynote speaker Herman Zohdi, an activist in Pemenang. The public discussion was held from 2 to 4 pm. We invited Herman Zohdi to talk about Pemenang because a few years ago he had done a research for three years about history of respective villages and backwoods in Pemenang.
The discussion was attended by members of pasirputih and participants of akumassa Chronicle. They listened to Herman Zohdi’s explanation that, at least, could give them other references about the subdistrict through a perspective of history discipline.
After Zohdi’s presentation, some participants asked questions. For example, how Pemenang could has so many version of histories. Zohdi himself emphasized that his presentation based on a academic study that could be different from other perspectives. For Zohdi, diverse version of Pemenang histories exactly will enrich our perspective to see Pemenang.
